FAQ

How many pavers do I need?

Pavers = area in square inches ÷ ((paver length + gap) × (paver width + gap)). Square inches = square feet × 144. The result is rounded up to whole pavers.

How many pavers per square foot?

Pavers per square foot = 144 ÷ ((length + gap) × (width + gap)), with sizes in inches. The app shows this number for the size you enter.

How much extra should I buy for cuts?

That depends on your pattern, curves, and edges. Type the percent you want and the app adds exactly that. It adds none on its own.

How much gravel base and sand do I need under pavers?

Type the depths from your plan. Cubic feet = square feet × depth in inches ÷ 12, and cubic yards = cubic feet ÷ 27. The app has no default depth.

Does the paver size on the label include the joint?

Not always. If your label lists a nominal size that already includes the joint, leave the gap blank so it is not counted twice.

What does this not include?

Price, delivery, edge restraint, polymeric sand for joints, fabric, compaction loss, and digging. Weight and tons are not estimated.
